Rules: The regatta will be governed by the ‘rules’ as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing.
Classes: Open Handicapped
Eligibility: Must be a member of Conestoga Sailing Club, or been a student of the sailing school in 2015.
Registration/Sailing Instructions: All boats will race together, positions will be determined using handicapping. On the Sunday race there may be a shortened course for sailing school participants if there is sufficient numbers of sailors interested in Optimist and Topaz sailing.
Fee: No fees for racing.
Meals: The Club will supply the BBQ and Herrle corn for $10 per adult, $5 for children 12 and under for the Sunday dinner.  All other meals are to be provided by the participants.
Skippers’ Meeting: 10:00am Saturday – Aug 29, 2015
First Race: 10:30 Saturday, 10:30 Sunday
Series Format: Maximum 4 races each day. No race to be started after 4:00pm
Scoring: Low Point Scoring System (RRS Appendix A).
Prizes: Recognition of first 3 boats.  Awards presented at the AGM.

Eligibility: Member or Guest of Conestoga Sailing Club

Inspection: Boats may be inspected at any time during the series.

Sailing Instructions: Provided at registration.

Notice: Sign-in required at club house prior to sailing.

 Schedule: First Race on May 29 @6:30PM (tune up)

                          June Series June 3,10,17,24

                         July Series July 1,8,15,22,29

                        August Series August 5,12,19,26

                        All races start at 6:30 PM

Series Format: One or more races constitute a series.

This year two Wayfarer’s from Conestoga competed at the Mississauga Wayfarer/CL16 regatta. Leo and Joanne Van Kampen repersented Conestoga by placing 4th. Scott Ramsey and Jan D’ailly Finished in 11th. Full results here.

training on the fluky winds of Conestoga Lake helped with the conditions on Saturday as the winds started very light (less than 5 km/hr) from the west and within an hour were about 10 km/hr from the east. Sundays winds were much more steady with 15 km/hr winds from the south gradually going to 15 km/hr from the south east by the end of the series.
