CURL with the Conestoga Sailing Club
February 2nd, 2009 by jfedorTo members and friends of the Conestoga Sailing Club
You and your family and friends are invited to CURL with the Conestoga Sailing Club. BEGINNERS and children welcome. CSC secretary Ken Nethercott will give some instruction beforehand, then we will split into teams and play a game – sort of, for fun. Brooms are available at the club. Bring clean rubber soled shoes as you will be walking on ice. Dress warmly.
This is a great opportunity to try curling and get together with other members of the sailing club for an evening on another form of water!. Last year, the group gathered for refreshments ( … read beer) at the club after the game and those who were available went out out for supper later to a local roadhouse. Ken will make a reservation..
Date: Saturday February 21st
Time: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Location: Granite Club on Seagram Drive in Waterloo
Fee: non-Granite Club members is $11.50 + tax.
For those who just wish to observe, there is a warm viewing lounge with comfortable seats.
Please reply to Ken Nethercott nethercott@sympatico.ca with numbers.
Join the sailing club for this casual and fun winter event.
