2012 Open House and Dock Launch

Thank you to everyone that came to the sailing club open house on May the 26th 2012.  A very big thank you to all of the folks who volunteered there time cooking and taking people out on the sail boats. You can see the crowed we had for the launch of the dock and the new Catamaran in the photo gallery. For the ribbon cutting ceremony to launch the new dock we were lucky to have: Carl Zehr (Mayor of Kitchener), Melissa Durrell (Waterloo City councillor), Diane Freeman (Waterloo City councillor), Jeff Henery (Waterloo City councillor) and Jane Mitchell (regional councillor) on hand to do the ribbon cutting honours. The event made it into some local media as well. The KW record record article can be found here.

The Sailing Club would like to recognize the contributions of the individuals and organizations that helped by making financial donations to the dock construction project. The KW community foundation, The KW sports association, Individual Club members past and present who made donations and all members that volunteered there time at charity bingos to raise funds. Thanks again to everyone who volunteered now lets all get out and use that dock.
