Next Virtual Race MOVED to Thu. May 28!

An important update from our Fleet Captain:

Thank you to everyone who showed up for our first virtual race night!  Given the fun we had last week, and that we are not quite ready to gather for our regular  race nights, we are going to run another race night this Thursday May 28th at 7:00 PM.

For more information, visit the initial Virtual Regatta announcement, or read the CSC eSailing Guide, which is posted there.

If you have any questions, or to get the meeting info for Thursday, don’t hesitate to contact Graham at fleetcaptain@kwsailing.org.

Virtual Regatta announcement – updated!

With luck, we will be racing on the water again soon.  Until then, let’s get together online.  On Wednesday May 20th at 7:00 we held our first virtual Wednesday night race.  It’s a fantastic way to get back into race mode and to practice our tactics. To avoid scheduling issues, subsequent races may be either Wednesday or Thursday evening, from 7:30 to about 9:00.

Next Virtual Race will be on Wed. June 10, at 7:30.

Virtual Regatta (eSailing) Inshore is aimed at everyone from expert sailors to newbies and can bring the excitement of small sailboat racing to your home. It’s easy to use and also has a training feature so people can easily learn how to use the game or even learn the basics of sailing.

If you have not used Virtual Regatta before, please download and review the CSC eSailing Guide, create a profile, and complete the training.  On Wednesday May 20th, we will gather on Google Meet at 7:00, and start races soon afterwards, with a maximum of 5 races.

To get the Google Meet info, or if you have any questions, please contact Fleet Captain Graham Moogk-Soulis, at fleetcaptain@kwsailing.org.
