Boat Park Policy
The primary purpose of the boat park is the in-season parking of boats that are in active use by members in good standing. During the off-season, members can keep boats in the boat park for winter storage for a fee. The boat park is divided into three main areas: club boats and maintenance, boats on dollies, boats on trailers. Other boat locations are the canoe/kayak racks as well as the slips assigned to specific boats.
Basics
- The club boat area is for the exclusive parking of club boats. Sufficient space is needed for youth camp and adult course participants to easily maneuver boats as well as for boat maintenance.
- Boats on trailers cannot be moved easily by boat park volunteers and must be parked in the trailer area of the boat park. Each boat will be assigned a dedicated spot. It is not permissible to park trailers in the boat park without an assigned spot.
- Boats on dollies can be placed anywhere in the dolly area of the boat park or, in consultation with the boat park committee, in the trailer park.
Usage
- Only members in good standing can use the boat park. Good standing includes registration, paid membership fee, as well as applicable slip and winter storage fees.
- All boats in the boat park must be registered in the online system, receive a sticker number, and must display the boat sticker.
- Each spot in the boat park must be maintained by the respective boat owner. This includes mowing the grass, keeping covers neat and tight, and removing any debris from trees or shrubs.
- The boat park is not a long-term storage facility. If there is a shortage of space, boat owners might be asked to remove boats that are not actively used.
- Abandoned boats without an active registration will be disposed of, if the owner is unresponsive.
