PLEASE NOTE: For the Individual/Junior Membership, a parent/guardian needs to fill out the membership application. The junior member must be entered as family member in the member profile.

Guests

Members are welcome to bring guests to the club. However, if a guest visits the club regularly, they should consider becoming a member. Also see Code of Conduct.

Membership Types

Family/Household Membership

For any single adult, couple, or individuals living at the same primary residence, plus any children living at their parent’s/guardian’s primary residence.

  • Access to the club’s facilities, participation in any number of weekday races, recreational sail days/evenings, and for trained members with CANSail 1 or equivalent, use of club boats.
  • Boat park storage space, during the season, for personally owned sail boats. Maximum boat length 23ft. No motor boats allowed.
  • Storage space in the racks for personally owned canoe or kayaks during the season.
  • Winter storage for an extra fee.
  • The members are accountable to provide appropriate insurance coverage for all stored boats and property.
  • The members receive one vote per membership at general meetings. Members can nominate candidates and stand for election to the board of directors.
  • As a volunteer run organization we also ask that members in this category complete at least 12 hours of volunteer work over the course of every season.

Junior Membership

For any youth under 18 years of age. This membership is intended for sailing camp participants who would like to use club boats and facilities outside of sailing school hours and are not part of a family membership.

  • Access to the club’s facilities, participation in any number of weekday races, recreational sail days/evenings, and for trained members with CANSail 1 or equivalent, use of club boats.
  • Please note that junior members under the age of 16 must be supervised by a parent or guardian when using club boats and facilities.

Student Membership

For any full-time student between the ages of 18 and 27 and enrolled in a postsecondary institution.

  • Access to the club’s facilities, participation in any number of weekday races, recreational sail days/evenings, and for trained members with CANSail 1 or equivalent, use of club boats.
  • Boat park storage space, during the summer, for one personally owned sail boat. Maximum boat length 23ft. No motor boats allowed.
  • Storage space in the racks for personally owned canoe or kayaks during the season.
  • Winter storage for an extra fee.
  • The member is accountable to provide appropriate insurance coverage for all stored boats and property.
  • The member receives one vote at general meetings. Member can nominate candidates and stand for election to the board of directors.
  • As a volunteer run organization we also ask that a member in this category completes at least 12 hours of volunteer work over the course of every season.

Canoe/Kayak Membership

For any single adult, couple, or individuals living at the same primary residence who would like to store their canoe or kayak at the club and make use of club facilities.

  • Access to the club’s facilities, but no participation in sailing and no use of club boats.
  • Storage space in the racks for personally owned canoe or kayaks during the season.
  • Winter storage for an extra fee.
  • The members are accountable to provide appropriate insurance coverage for all stored boats and property.
  • The members receive one vote at general meetings. Member can nominate candidates and stand for election to the board of directors.
  • As a volunteer organization we also ask that members in this category complete at least 6 hours of volunteer work over the course of every season.
